SPACERS FOR PERMEABLE PAVING

The System

Features

Use with any modular paving unit to create a permeable paved area Schemes are no longer limited to purpose made permeable pavers and blocks Enables rainwater to infiltrate into a suitable sub-grade through the joints
Slows water so it flows naturally into the water table 2010 Flood and Water Management Legislation and Class F Compliant Allows pollutants to be trapped by the subgrade
Unaffected by vibratory plates and rollers Made from 100% recycled materials Made in Great Britain for reduced carbon footprint

Benefits

  • Architects – no longer restricted to the limited range of purpose made permeable blocks e.g. Marshalls Priora, Formpave Aquaflow. SuDSFLOW now enables most modular paving units to be used for permeable paving schemes
  • Cost effective – Can avoid complex and costly designs by removing need for gullies, drainage pipes, drain runs and flow mechanisms associated with traditional drainage
  • Availability – For use with readily available standard paving units, effectively making permeable paving available ex-stock
  • Aesthetics – Spacers provide a consistent and accurate 10mm joint width and are invisible once covered by jointing material
  • Absorption – Rainfall is absorbed into the sub-grade to create puddle free paving
  • Local Authorities – a range of permeable pavers is no longer required for repairs and maintenance to SuDS paving
  • Overseas – Makes permeable paving available in countries where specialist permeable pavers are not manufactured

Fields of Application

  • Pedestrianised Areas
  • Access Roads
  • Footpaths
  • Roof Terraces
  • Car Parks and Ramps

Limitations of Use
